BoxyCharm September 2017 Review&Reveal

Boxy Baddie

My third BoxyCharm is here and it keeps getting better and better! Ever since I subscribed there has been an eyeshadow palette and this is awesome for me to grow my collection! Especially now that I am learning a little bit each day on how to actually use them correctly LOL.

So this month my package contained

  • Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair! Deep conditioning mask
  • bareMinerals Perfecting Face brush
  • PÜR Soirée Diaries eyeshadow palette
  • MAC eyebrow pencil in Spiked
  • Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Little Stitious
  • Studio Makeup Luminous Loose Blush

As always, I am so obsessed with the foundation brush and palette.

I have been a faithful beautyblender user for some time now, but decided to give this little brush a chance and I was blown away with the results. It has that dip in it to pour foundation into and you just buff in a circular kinda motion. My foundation looked so good using this brush that I have to alternate between this and my beautyblender.

The Soirée Diaries palette is packed with 12 different shadows and they are very pigmented and blend out very easily. I have been using Stunner and Twinkle the most since I’m really loving the amber toned shadows this summer.

I should also note that this is the first PÜR product I have ever used- and no I never got around to using the false lashes.

The MAC eyebrow pencil in Spiked I’m thinking is more of a universal shade. It blends into my brows really well, but I haven’t yet mastered using a brow pencil. I just recently got the hang of Dip Brow pomade! Also I am really getting into MAC products ever since I started using the soft ochre Paint Pot for eyeshadow.

Ok, so I am picky about lip colors. My lips are very thin and I can only feel confident in a few shades such as mauves, so this Colourpop lippy isn’t exactly my color of choice. I wore it to work yesterday, and I will admit that it has good staying power and doesn’t make my lips feel cakey or sticky. As much as I love Colourpop, this shade just isn’t for me.

The blush, shown above under lipstick swatch, comes from Makeup Studios. I haven’t heard of this brand before, and I never wear blush, but I am impressed with this loose blush. It’s not harsh and doesn’t make me look like a clown. Rather, it gives a pinch of color that I can live with.

If you have been reading my previous reviews, then you know I am not into hair products…like at all. So the Briogeo deep conditioner mask will go to my daughter who loves stuff like this.

Sorry if you wanted a review on it, but since I’m not into it, I don’t want to bash it for everyone else.

Total Value of This month’s box

  • Eyeshadow palette: $34
  • Eyebrow pencil: $18
  • Lippy: $6
  • Blush: $35 (thats some expensive blush!)
  • Foundation brush: $28
  • Hair conditioner: $20
  • Total: $141
  • Paid: $21!!!!
