Ipsy October 2017 Spellbound Review

Time for another ipsy glam bag review! I feel like I am becoming more comfortable and confident in my reviewing and blogging skills lately. I guess practice really does make perfect, or damn near close haha.

Like this month’s BoxyCharm, “Spellbound” is the theme.

I love the design of the bag with it’s burnt orange and lacy style complete with a cute little bat zipper! I love all of the bags we get for storing everything and they are all of good quality too.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

This is the second FAB product I have tried with ipsy. I love all things skincare, mostly moisturizers and cleansers so this was right up my alley. It is a nice rich cream that contains shea butter, licorice root and white tea. You only have to use about a quarter sized amount, but I always tend to overdo it and apply a little more at night. It has a faint herbal scent to me which is nice, and it kinda reminds me of the scent of the Red Clay Cleanser. My face feels nice and hydrated when I used this!

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Perversion

Ok, so I hear alot of monthly subscribers have a stock pile of black eyeliners and now I too am gaining a collection. This is the third black eyeliner I have gotten in a matter of only two months or so. I only use pencil liners on my lower waterline, so it literally will take me probably years to work through these!

I do love the fact that this is waterproof since waterproof products are working well for me wearing contacts. I even tested this to see if it didn’t budge, and it passed the test!

Meech & Mia Loose Eyeshadow in Beige

First time ever hearing of this brand! I like how ipsy gives love to lesser known brands!

I was a little confused by the shade of this. It is called “Beige” but damn it really looks orange. Very shimmery and pretty pigmented. Another plus: this product is cruelty free.

On the ipsy app, I read that this looks awesome on the lower lash line (which I don’t do) or as a highlighter (which I will try!) Also note this is my first experience with a loose shadow.

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara

Gotta love tarte: cruelty free and vegan mascara. I really love this mascara, but the only thing I have to complain about is not being waterproof!

I love the “MagniLASH” wand which separates and coats each lash with precision! I used this with my L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Primer and holy smokes my lashes looked good! But without being waterproof, I did notice some flaking by the end of the day.

Firma Beauty 201 Tall Blender Brush

I love me some brushes! This brush is sturdy and the bristles are soft and synthetic. I used it to “smoke out” a dark crease shadow and it did well!

My brush collection is steadily growing and I love getting them in my glam bags!

I was really pleased with this month’s bag! If you aren’t an ipster yet, CLICK HERE TO BECOME ONE!

For $10 a month, you can’t beat it. I love being able to try out different brands and products every month!
