Empties & Review: Soap & Glory, Skin Laundry, Too Cool For School and Glow Recipe

Finished up a couple skincare products I thought I would share and review today.

Soap & Glory Rich & Foamous Body Wash

Ok so lately I have become a real Soap & Glory fan. I’ve seen their products in the past but never cared for the “Original Pink” fragrance of some of their original products. I smelled this at Walgreens one day while looking for bodywash and just had to have it! The official scent is “almonds, oats, and brown sugar.” To me it smells like delectable fresh baked cookies and is just completely irresistible in my opinion. It is perfect for fall because it smells warm and cozy (if thats a thing). I love how creamy this feels while taking a shower, but my only small complaint is that I have to use about 15 pumps to create a super sudsy lather the way I like.

It features “M-Suds MoistureBoost” raw flower honey, almond milk and “SUPERSOFT-N” skin conditioners.

I bought this from Walgreens for $10, but often Ulta includes it when they have buy one get one 50% off–and yes I stock up on this stuff! I cannot risk not having this in my life every single day lol. I also love their catchy retro packaging and unique play on words!

Skin Laundry Hydrating Cream Face Wash

Received this deluxe sized sample in October’s Sephora Play box. I have been making myself use all of my samples up before I go out and buy more. Is this working? Maybe. Lol.

Anyway, I picked up a citrusy grapefruit scent with this. Nothing too offending or strong. This is a soap and sulfate free cleanser that is ideal for normal to dry skin. I have combination skin, so this did pretty good for me. The only thing I didn’t like about it was the lack of suds. If you can’t tell by now, I have a thing for super sudsy cleansers and this just didn’t do it.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask

I was so excited to get my hands on a sample of this! It came in my most recent Sephora order with a promo. There are 2 ways to use this: you can use as a sleeping mask and rinse off in the morning OR use as a 10 minute wash off mask. I decided to use it as a sleeping mask.

This mask is a radiance boosting and hydrating gel cream with watermelon extract, hyaluronic acid and AHA.

I like the scent of this: it smells like watermelon Blow Pops! I generously applied this right after my normal skincare routine and the gel felt nice and cooling, and dried to be a bit tacky. The next morning my skin did feel softer and I must have not realized it when I was applying it, because it had dried in my hairline and looked like I had a dandruff/glue issue going on😒. Overall though, I think I will stick to the sheet masking!

Too Cool For School All-In-One Egg Mellow Cream

I have been seeing products featuring egg in them for a while, so naturally I had to find out how they worked. This sample also came in my last Sephora order.

The Egg Mellow Cream is an all in one collagen infused firming moisturizer with brightening and anti-aging properties.

I used this in the morning before makeup. I didn’t notice any distinct scent, just smelled like lotion. It has a nice thick and creamy consistency and felt dreamy on my face. It didn’t feel oily or greasy or tight after it dried, just nice and soft! I think this will be on my list for next order!
