What’s In My Makeup Bag? Primers & Morning Skincare Routine

Over the weekend, I thought about doing a series of blog posts over a few days with the items I use nearly everyday.

So I am going to start with what I use first thing every morning, primers and pre-makeup skincare!

Cleanse

I recently started looking for a good fresh face wash that I could use in the morning that would wake me up, and help control oil and pores.  I decided on this Biore Ice Cleanser because it does all of the above and is very affordable!  One pump of this stuff and your face is all lathered up, and feels cool and invigorating!

Serum

After cleansing I love to pat in the Farsali Unicorn Essence.  It smells sweet like cotton candy, and feels so moisturizing that I usually skip moisturizers in the morning, plus it seems like using a moisturizer only makes the oiliness worse later in the day.

Eye Cream

I recently got the Clinique Pep Start eye cream in my January Sephora Play box and love it!  It feels very hydrating and seems to help brighten the under eye area.  I am really considering buying this in full size when or before I run out.

Primer(s)

I use two different primers.  I love using the Benefit Porefessional specifically for my nose since that seems to be the source of my oil problem and my pores there are huge and ugly.  And I don’t like how it feels on my hands when using it “full face.”  For the rest of my face, I’m not so picky because I don’t really get oily anywhere else.  I do love the Too Faced Peaches & Cream Matte primer for my face since it has an added cooling factor, and I notice that it dramatically reduces any redness that I have going on.   And it smells like sweet fresh peaches!

This was a fun blog post!  Tomorrow I will be posting full face routine and items I use!

Hope you enjoyed this- let me know in the comments! x
