Review: Physicians Formula Refreshmint Eye De-Puffer Stick

New Physicians Formula Refreshmint Cucumber & Bamboo Eye De-Puffer Stick

I picked this up last week from Walmart, while browsing the new Physicians Formula line (and looking for a new Butter Highlighter) and came across this eye de-puffing cooling stick.  This is right up my alley since I love anything that perks me up in the morning!

The product comes in stick form, and has sleek, small packaging much like a lipstick.  There is an extra plastic protective cover that goes directly over the top of the stick to keep it fresh, so make sure you keep that!

I’ve read mixed reviews on this, some people say it has a horrible scent, but personally I don’t think its scented at all.  Others also have mentioned that it leaves a weird residue on their skin and makes applying their makeup complicated.  None of these things have happened to me so far, and I’ve been using it for a week now with no problems!

I think it is all about how you apply it, if you glob it all over sure you’re going to have problems!  I just rub it under my eyes just enough to feel the faint cooling sensation it gives.  I think the overall cooling sensation is a little weak, and this would be much better if it was stronger in that area.  It feels really nice and refreshing going on, and for me it dries down almost instantly.

I don’t have super puffy eyes or bags (thankfully) so I can’t speak on how it reduces puffiness, but I do wake up with super tired eyes, and am always looking for something to perk me up, and this seems to do the trick!  I also love skin care products with cucumber since I have had good experiences with “wake up” creams and products with cucumber!

The key ingredients in the stick are:

  • Cooling Peppermint
  • Hydrating Bamboo
  • Soothing Cucumber
  • Nourishing Aloe Vera
  • Refreshing Glacial Water

You also get a lot of product since you don’t have to layer it on thick, this stick should last a while!  It retails for $9.95 on the Physicians Formula website, but I picked it up from Walmart for around $8.

While it’s not the absolute best eye product I’ve used, I still like it and think it’s a great deal!  I would give it 4 stars mainly because I feel like the cooling factor could be amped up some!!

Have any of you tried this or any of the new items from Physicans Formula?  I also picked up the Rose All Day serum and will be reviewing it this week!
