Maybelline Fit Me Smooth & Dewy Foundation and Master Prime Hydrate + Smooth (Influenster VoxBox)
Recently I received another VoxBox from Influenster to test out! This is my second foundation Vox within a month, the first being the bareMinerals. Let’s just say I love Influenster! And I’m so grateful to be given the chance to try out all this makeup!
I was a bit scared going into this, mainly because “dewy” and my skin don’t usually get along very well. Y’all know me- matte everything!
Master Prime Hydrate + Smooth Primer
While I was worried this would be kinda shiny, I was surprised that it only felt very moisturizing and smoothing on my skin! It’s a white, lightweight, and creamy formula that easily absorbs and feels more like a good moisturizer. It definitely made my face prepped and primed for foundation application. It didn’t feel heavy or greasy at all, and I didn’t notice any fragrance. This is awesome for winter weather!
The key benefits of this primer (according to the back of the tube) are:
- Visibly smoothes
- Primes skin with hydration
- Lightweight formula
- Does not clog pores
I feel like this definitely lived up to it’s claims!
Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation
I received shade 125 Nude Beige and it’s a perfect match which I’m very surprised, since I had to choose it from swatches on the app and that almost never happens!
This foundation contains Octinoxate Sunscreen SPF 10 and claims to be formulated for Normal to Dry Skin. I went into this thinking back to some foundations I’ve tried in the past that contained sunscreen and they were so overly heavy that it felt like I had globbed tons of sunscreen on my face.
The key benefits of this foundation are:
- Hyrdrates and smoothes skin texture
- Natural and luminous finish
Despite containing sunscreen, and providing a luminous and dewy finish, this actually gave me sort of an airbrushed look. It didn’t feel heavy or greasy, and had amazing coverage! It has a creamy, blendable and lightweight feel and felt super hydrating. I’m kinda blown away by how positive my experience was with this!
My problem area is around my nose, where I notice the most oil and foundation separation. I wore this foundation with the primer all day and kept checking to see how my problem area was holding up, which to my complete shock did not shine or separate all day. Now I usually use matte primers and foundations, and sometimes even those are no match to my oily nose, but this stuff actually held up better. *shook*
I am very happy to have tried this out and ventured out of my matte comfort zone.
Have any of you tried the Fit Me foundations?
Of course I must disclose that I received these products complimentary for testing purposes. Thanks Influenster! Can’t wait to see what’s next- keep ’em coming my way!
