NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray

Empty and Review: NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray

A lightweight, water based setting spray that keeps your makeup looking matte and A-M-A-Z-I-N-G

Just recently finished up my NYX setting spray, so I thought I’d give my opinion on it today.

We all know how much I love matte products, and this one is no different.  I came across this being used on YouTube while watching a tutorial on getting a truly matte finish and realized the reason I wasn’t achieving my matte goals was because I had been using an illuminating setting spray!  Silly me.  We live and we learn, right?

I like this spray because its very easy to find in drugstores or Ulta and its reasonably priced, at around $8.99.  The bottle is small though, and you only get 2.03 fl oz, but for the price I guess that’s fair.  This one bottle lasted me a month with everyday use.

Another good thing about this is that it comes out in a fine mist on your face, and not like a water hose.  I’ve tried a couple different setting sprays that came out way to harsh and that was not a good experience!

I like to spray my face with this, then use a powder puff to kinda push it into my skin deeper, especially around my troubled t-zone.  I’d say it works great at mattifying my makeup and keeping everything in place.  I guess I’m just super oily at times because no matter what I use on my nose, I always seem to have to keep an eye on that area and sometimes even have to use blotting powder later in the day to keep the shine at bay.

Do you all like this setting spray or do you have any good recommendations for a matte setting spray?  Let me know in the comments!
