Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Quad “Petalette”
Our improved eyeshadow formula ups the ante on pigmentation with a mix of shimmery go-tos and matte transition shades to blend into the creases of your eyelids. Each shade glides on effortlessly and blends like a dream. We’ve taken out the guesswork by noting where to apply each hue.
Good Monday morning! I thought I would share this little Wet n Wild palette I picked up from CVS this weekend and my first impressions of it. I paid $3.99 for it, and it stood out to me because I love plum shade eyeshadows.
Each shadow is labeled where to apply it on your eye, which is great for beginners! Maybe I should’ve gotten one of these sooner instead of diving head first into the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette lol.
Here are the swatches:
- The browbone shade is a warm shimmery white with very little fallout and is very sheer
- Transition is a mauve with cooler undertones and had A LOT of fallout, and very powdery but made for a great transition and was easy to blend out.
- The eyelid shade is a shimmery pink and I didn’t have issues with fallout, and went on my eyelid with no problem with primer, however when I wore it, it looked more like a frosted light purple instead of pink!
- The crease shade is a medium to dark warm plum with a satin finish. Again, very powdery, some moderate fallout, but it did blend very easily.
Here is my first completed look using only this palette, primed with MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot
I think it came out pretty good! Other than being super powdery, and the pink not really being pink, it blended out and wore all day without fading! I think its pretty decent for under $4 atleast. It’s definitely not going to be my go-to palette for everyday wear or anything, but I am glad I gave it a chance and it’s in my stash.
Here are some of the other quads Wet n Wild offers, I really think #4 is pretty! What do you all think? Have you done any looks or tried one of these yet? If so, leave your link below and I’ll go check you out!
Have a great week! See y’all tomorrow with another review! (I think I’m trying to post every day during the week, and take the weekends off!)
