First Aid Beauty Ginger & Turmeric Vitamin C Jelly Mask

Good Monday morning!  Hope you all had a nice weekend!  I did, and also did some much needed blog planning and brainstorming for future posts.  Today, I decided to do a short and sweet review on the First Aid Beauty Hello Fab Ginger & Turmeric Vitamin C Jelly Mask that I received in February’s Sephora Play box.

Full Description from Sephora.com

A revitalizing jelly mask packed with superfoods ginger and turmeric to comfort stressed-out skin, while vitamin C helps brighten skin’s appearance. This refreshing, alcohol-free jelly mask delivers a burst of cooling hydration. Vitamin C helps brighten skin’s appearance while allantoin and superfoods ginger and turmeric help restore suppleness and calm stressed-out skin. This addictive formula awakens the senses and reveals a revitalized, healthy-looking complexion, leaving skin feeling soothed, supple, and invigorated.

I was excited to give this a try, because lately I’ve noticed that skincare products containing Vitamin C seem to really energize and brighten my skin.

The jelly texture feels very nice and cooling on the skin, and applies easily.  It doesn’t feel sticky, or dry down to feel tight while you wait.  It also has sort of an herbal scent too, that is not overpowering.

The directions say to apply to clean skin and leave on for 10 minutes.  So I did, and the whole 10 minutes, I could feel the cooling sensation which was very nice!  It rinses off easily, and after rinsing my skin felt soft and hydrated.

I’ve been using this for about 3 weeks now and I have to be honest, while I see a lot of rave reviews on this, and while it does feel amazingly refreshing and moisturizing, I haven’t noticed a huge difference with it making a change in complexion or toning down any redness.  I use this in conjunction with my daily skincare products, Philosophy Purity wash, L’Oreal Hydra Fresh toner, The Ordinary Buffet serum, and Clinique Moisture Surge moisturizer.  I don’t know, maybe it’s just me…lol

The full size tub of this sells for $32 at Sephora, but for me I’ll pass on the full size unfortunately!

Have you guys tried this, or did you receive it in your Sephora box?  Let me know where to check out your reviews or first impressions in the comments! ❤
