Botanics Shine Away Mattifying Day Cream with Willowbark and Broad Spectrum SPF 15

I was recently looking for a good daytime moisturizer with some SPF in it, but since I have oily skin the last thing I wanted was some heavy greasy sunscreen goop on my face.  I have never heard much about the Botanics brand, which is made by Boots in the UK, so I was a little iffy on it at first.

Benefits

The package description reads:

Helps to control excessive shine.  This mattifying formula, rich in clarifying willowbark extract is fast absorbing, and provides effective hydration and protection from UV rays.

Directions: Use every morning after cleansing

Experience

The scent is this very light herbal smell that is just perfect and goes along well with the botanical theme of the product.  The cream is very lightweight, and I don’t have to layer it on to feel the hydration of it!  It makes my skin so soft and healthy feeling.  It really does mattify my skin, which was a big reason I bought this.  It helps so much with oil control, that I have been using it more and more as a makeup base, and really don’t have to use primer as often, except for my extremely troubled and pore-ridden nose.  My makeup goes on perfectly and stays matte!

I am so happy to have found a moisturizer that doubles as a matte primer, all while providing sun protection, because I ain’t getting no younger and need all the preventative help I can right now.

I love this cream and am planning to buy a backup just in case (yes I have a tendency to hoard these types of products).   I highly recommend this cream to all of my combination-oily skin friends!

The Brand & Where to Buy (USA)

I bought this at Walgreens, and they offered a slew of different products targeted toward different types of skin, such as brightening, calming, hydrating, etc.  I am now seeing online that Ulta and Target also sell this line!  I can’t wait to try some of their other items soon.

Have any of you tried this amazing line?
